Compassion is a high state of empathy, kindness and love. Viewing ourselves and others from this perspective supports us to see the bigger picture.

If we see people struggle with problems, health issues or life challenges and we drop into sympathy, we tend to view them through the eyes of pity. We see them as victims and feel sorry for them. This only helps to keep them locked into victim-hood.
